Job Role: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Huddersfield Area

Pay Rate: Competitive Daily Rate

Contract Type: Long Term, Short Term, Temp to Perm and Day to Day

Leader Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with children and young adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in schools across the Huddersfield area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with additional needs and experience of supporting students with challenging behaviour.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of SEND needs and the ability to provide individualized support
  • Experience of working with children and young adults with a range of SEND needs, including moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, anxiety, depression, and dyslexia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
  • A calm and nurturing approach, with the ability to provide emotional support and stability for students with EHCPs
  • An ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the school and its students
