Job Title: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant

New Directions Holding is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a school-based setting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with SEND, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEND
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to students' needs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEND or similar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
