About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our Medical Education Team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Medical Education Team, including answering queries, problem-solving, and progress chasing.
  • Assist with the organization of educational events and training programs, including coordinating logistics and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Administer study leave and other administrative tasks related to medical education.
  • Provide personal assistant support to the Associate Dean for Speciality Doctors.
  • Work collaboratively with the Medical Education Coordinators to ensure the smooth operation of the Medical Education Centre.
Requirements
  • GCSE English Language, Grade C or above/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Word processing skills - OCR II (or equivalent RSA II)
  • Minimum 6 months secretarial/administrative experience
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualification or appropriate training in Customer Service
  • ECDL
  • NHS Experience
  • Experience of working in an educational setting
