About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Psychologist with experience in mental health to further develop their skills and knowledge in the specialist area of the East Berkshire Psychological Medicine.

The successful candidate will deliver a specialist psychological service to patients and be a key member of the multidisciplinary team providing expertise in psychologically based care and treatment pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on assessment formulation and treatment to the multidisciplinary team and provide ongoing practical advice and support through supervision, case review, and joint assessment or intervention.
  • Lead on psychological formulation, provide specialist teaching and supervision as required within the team.
  • Work in collaboration with other psychologists/assistant psychologists in the provision of services to people who need mental health support.
  • Make recommendations to the multidisciplinary team on additional assessments or interventions and skills required from the team to deliver the plan of care and expected health/social outcomes which are evidence-based and lead to recovery and minimise risk.
  • Direct and supervise junior staff and resources within their area of responsibility and take an active participation in clinical quality assurance and learning programmes.
