Position Overview

Penderels Trust is looking for a dedicated individual to assist a young man with Autism Spectrum Disorder and a learning disability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with daily living activities including hygiene, dressing, and personal grooming.
  • Support with culinary tasks, including meal preparation and grocery shopping.
  • Facilitate participation in social events, sports, and recreational activities.
  • Encourage the development of social skills and promote independence.
  • Establish a meaningful one-on-one rapport.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate reliability, patience, and empathy. While prior experience in caregiving is not a prerequisite, a sincere desire to assist individuals with disabilities is crucial. A flexible mindset and a positive demeanor are essential attributes for this position.

Transportation Requirements

Having a valid driver's license is preferred but not essential.
