Role Overview

The primary focus of this position is to lead and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of the corporate IT and facilities strategy. This role requires collaboration across various departments to enhance internal efficiencies and elevate service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee IT operations, including first-level support for networking, servers, client systems, printing, and data backup; manage IP telephony, contact center, and video conferencing solutions; handle user access management. Administer local communication contracts, mobile devices, and office supplies. Provide support to the Senior Management team regarding IT initiatives. Collaborate with corporate IT for local planning and execution of system and hardware upgrades. Maintain an active role in daily IT operations. Monitor hardware utilization and assess user needs to optimize hardware performance. Ensure regular IT audits are conducted and maintain an updated IT asset database. Guarantee local IT operational reliability. Supervise building maintenance activities at the Barking office, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, and grounds upkeep. Manage reception, switchboard operations, and security services. Oversee office facilities, including cleaning services, catering, plant maintenance, and furniture management. Ensure timely execution of all scheduled testing and inspections. Coordinate office relocations, refurbishments, and layout modifications. Respond to urgent situations or emergencies related to the building and IT infrastructure. Assist in the preparation of IT and facilities capital investment and budget planning. Authorize supplier invoices and monitor expenditures against budgetary constraints. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Uphold the company's sustainability objectives within UK offices and operations. Lead a small team of IT and facilities coordinators.
