About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Talent Hive. As a leading specialist recruiter in the Hospitality & Catering sector, we are committed to delivering exceptional results for our clients and candidates.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a team of 9 chefs to produce high-quality food for an assisted living contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate foodie with a strong knowledge of fresh food to take on a challenging role and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of 9 chefs to produce high-quality food
  • Have full autonomy on menus, with the opportunity to be creative and deliver excellent food
  • Work closely with the client to understand their needs and preferences
  • Manage the kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and staff management
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
  • Proven experience of working for a contract caterer
  • Strong knowledge of fresh food and culinary techniques
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
