We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team at dnata Travel Group, a leading player in the travel industry. As a Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in producing our management accounts, including supporting activities and schedules.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for leading the management accounts team in the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis of monthly costs and variances to budget/forecast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management accounts team in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet, and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly and quarterly forecasts, and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Support the production of supporting schedules for annual statutory accounts and tax returns, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture within the team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the development needs of direct reports, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a busy and dynamic finance department, with a proven track record of producing accurate management accounts.
  • Previous management experience, with a strong understanding of financial management and control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with experience of using Sage and other financial software.
  • Able to work individually and within a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.

  • Experience working in a high-volume business, with a strong understanding of financial management and control.
  • The ability to influence and support colleague development, with a strong focus on building a high-performing team.
  • Travel industry experience, with a strong understanding of the sector and its challenges.
  • Knowledge and experience of Sage X3, with a strong understanding of financial software and systems.
  • Experience of working with external auditors, with a strong understanding of audit processes and procedures.
