The Opportunity: Finance Director (Maternity Cover)
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Director to lead our finance team on a 12-month maternity cover basis at our UK Head Office. This role offers the chance to provide strategic financial leadership across all aspects of dnata Travel UK's operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive financial guidance and support to dnata Travel UK businesses and shared service functions.
- Drive the standardization of management accounting and financial reporting across all UK entities, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain a robust financial control environment aligned with group policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure seamless engagement and delivery during audit processes, collaborating effectively with internal and external audit partners.
- Communicate financial performance clearly and concisely to stakeholders, including consolidated reporting for actuals, forecasts, budgets, statutory accounts, and GFR reporting.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, identify control risks, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Manage and optimize UK ERP systems and other finance-related technologies.
- Deliver timely and insightful ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Lead the balance sheet, cash flow budget, and forecasting process for dnata Travel UK, proactively addressing potential concerns.
- Foster a collaborative culture of shared services across UK entities, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Provide exceptional leadership to the finance team, fostering individual growth, motivation, and a high-performance culture.
We are seeking a highly accomplished Finance Director with:

- Understanding of the travel industry's regulatory landscape and operational environment.
- Exceptional leadership skills, including influence, negotiation, and team management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration at all levels.
- Significant post-qualified accounting experience in a similar role within the travel industry is highly desirable.
