Senior Finance Manager - Rates

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to lead the Rates team in delivering exceptional services with a continuous improvement mindset.

As a key member of the Finance function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance and developing rates strategy and processes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the Finance function and engage with external customers, including the MOD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Rates team in delivering first-class rates services with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Support the review of Rates Operating Models across the UK Enterprise, understanding and communicating business and customer impacts
  • Coordinate the submission of actual rates to customers and regulators, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and regulations
  • Collaborate with FP&A to assess rates changes and develop future rates strategy
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with internal and external customer and regulator representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Coordinate rates inputs into the IBP process, overseeing dependencies, timetable adherence, and ensuring robust processes and controls are in place
Requirements:
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to lead and inspire teams
  • Solid cost base management and financial modelling expertise alongside proven experience in project financial management
  • Experience working on Defence contracts or similar industries, with an understanding of complex regulatory and contractual environments
