About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Emergency Response Manager to join our team at Marinassess. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and emergency response of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Proficiency
    • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation changes and best practices in safety and emergency response.
    • Maintain competence in operations management and strategic emergency management.
  • Process Improvement
    • Develop and implement operational delivery and governance procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
    • Ensure all core business support systems and applications are structured correctly to support operations.
    • Establish and maintain clear operational procedures within our quality management system.
    • Lead the team through change management processes.
  • Operational Delivery and Reporting
    • Oversee the safety and emergency response of our Emergency Responder team.
    • Execute the operational delivery plan to meet internal and external KPIs, contractual obligations, and legal requirements.
    • Monitor our operations 24/7, 365 days a year.
    • Ensure patrolling services are completed as per the Service Contract.
    • Produce activity reports to record the results of our activities.
    • Attend assessment meetings to measure reporting and traceability and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of equipment.
    • Implement risk prevention activities.
    • Complete monitoring and reporting requirements internally and externally.
    • Manage 'surprise' exercises in our service tunnel and ensure safety for all technicians.
    • Maintain service levels and operational procedures to ensure continued accreditation.
    • Plan, develop, and manage resources to provide all services.
  • Required Experience
    • Must have a degree-level education with strategic vision to develop business.
    • Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years.
    • Must have a clean driving license and be able to drive to site.
    • French speaking or a willingness to learn French terminologies and phrases.
    • Experience working at senior level with a strong understanding of UK fire, medical, and security standards, regulations, and legislation.
    • Strong commercial experience, managing service contracts, budgets, and P&Ls.
    • Ability to manage multiple, complex work streams to emergency deadlines.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to influence others at all levels.
    • Ability to work independently, using initiative to maintain high standards.
    • Strong IT skills, including Excel and reporting.
    • Manage sensitive and confidential matters and ensure high-level data protection and security.
