About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Professional Therapy Assistant to join our team at the Yorkshire Centre for Eating Disorders. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with eating disorders on their journey towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and social support to individuals as part of their recovery plan.
  • Work closely with the ward Dietitian and Occupational Therapist to support care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Co-facilitate groups and provide individual sessions to support patients with Dietetic and Occupational Therapy goals.
  • Support patients with meal planning, preparation, and eating out.
  • Assist patients in accessing volunteer, work, and educational opportunities.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Has experience of working with individuals with eating disorders or complex needs.
  • Has a good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the role.
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
