About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Professional Therapy Assistant to join our team at the Yorkshire Centre for Eating Disorders. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with eating disorders on their journey towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and social support to individuals as part of their recovery plan.
  • Work closely with the ward Dietitian and Occupational Therapist to support care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Co-facilitate groups and provide individual sessions to support patients with dietetic and occupational therapy goals.
  • Support patients with meal planning, preparation, and eating out.
  • Assist with reviewing OT and Dietetic goals and implementing coping strategies.
  • Support patients to access volunteer, work, and educational opportunities.

Requirements
  • NVQ2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with ED patients, CAMHS units, or mental health wards.
  • Good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the role.
  • Occupational therapy or dietetic experience.
