About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Professional Therapy Assistant to join our team at the Yorkshire Centre for Eating Disorders. As a key member of our ward, you will provide practical and social support to individuals as part of their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-facilitate groups such as creative, social eating, breakfast, lunch, and café groups
  • Support patients with dietetic goals, including carrying out behavioral experiments
  • Assist with reviewing OT and dietetic goals, meal planning, and preparation
  • Provide mealtime support, planning, and preparation, increasing cooking skills
  • Support patients to access volunteer, work, and educational opportunities

Requirements

  • NVQ2 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working with ED patients, CAMHS units, or mental health wards
  • Good understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the role
  • Occupational therapy or dietetic experience
