Join Our Team as a Public Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Specialist to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a key member of our Public Health Team, you will play a vital role in shaping our approach to tackling public health challenges and improving the health and wellbeing of our population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the substance misuse agenda, overseeing specific programmes and projects to ensure effective delivery of commissioned community-based services.
  • Work with a range of partners to identify opportunities for service improvements and efficiencies.
  • Provide specialist public health expertise, focusing on prevention, reducing inequalities, and supporting our communities.
  • Work with our local population to improve health outcomes, making a positive difference to the lives of people in Wiltshire.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree or qualifications of equivalent academic ability.
  • Proven record in strategic leadership, commissioning, and project management.
  • Ability to independently lead projects, manage budgets, and ensure milestones are met to deliver on time, within cost, and to the highest quality standards.
