Job Title: Wrap Around and Holiday Club Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Wrap Around and Holiday Club provision at Heronswood Primary School & Pre-School. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and play opportunities for children between the ages of 2-11 years old in a safe and secure environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and develop a team of staff to provide high-quality care and play opportunities for children.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the Wrap Around and Holiday Club provision.

Child Care and Welfare:

  • Nurture and encourage children to participate and thrive within the Wrap Around and Holiday Club provisions.
  • Plan and engage in a range of indoor and outdoor play activities that promote learning and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's attendance and activities.

Communication and Liaison:

  • Liaise with parents and carers to maintain a good level of two-way communication.
  • Provide regular updates on children's progress and activities.

Health and Safety:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for children and staff.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards.

Compliance and Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, GDPR, and OFSTED inspection requirements.
  • Administer basic first aid and keep records of accidents and incidents.

Professional Development:

  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and developments in early years and after-school care.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Working Relationships:

  • Work collaboratively with the school admin and finance staff to ensure records are kept up to date and invoices can be produced with accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure & Barring Service.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in early years and after-school care.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
