Job Title: Processing Operative

ASD, a leading metal stockholder and processing supplier in the UK, is seeking a skilled Processing Operative to join our team at our site in Kidderminster.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, including decoiling and slitting machines, fork-lift trucks, and overhead cranes, to process thousands of tonnes of steel each week. Health and safety is a top priority, and the successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on machinery operation, manual handling, and general health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the Bud Profiling Line or other scheduled activities, such as machine operation, loading, basic maintenance, TPM, 5S, or other duties as directed.
  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, adhering to EHS, Quality, and safe working practices.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have experience operating profiling machines, plasma profilers, press brakes, CNC machines, or similar equipment, preferably in a manufacturing, steel environment, warehousing, or distribution setting. A passion for health and safety and a commitment to continually improving our site are essential.
