Job Summary:

International Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Travel Claims Administrator to join our team. As a Travel Claims Administrator, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls, faxes, and emails, referring cases to the appropriate Claims Handler as needed. You will also be responsible for setting up new cases and claims on our Trident Travel system, verifying policy issues, and issuing claims forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming calls, faxes, and emails, referring cases to the appropriate Claims Handler as needed.
  • Set up new cases and claims on our Trident Travel system, whether notified by telephone, fax, or email.
  • Perform various administrative duties, including external post, claims settlements, and attaching incoming mail to the correct area within the claims system.
  • Verify policy issues and issue claims forms.
  • Act in a support and administration role as directed by Claims Handlers.
  • Ensure all internal and external communications are dealt with in a professional, disciplined, and courteous manner at all times.
  • Deal with enquiries from policyholders and clients on case-related matters in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Ensure that any information given is within the terms and conditions of the travel insurance policy.
  • Ensure that all information obtained during a call is properly documented on the claim.
  • Be familiar with GR's published service standards and ensure that any support provided is done so in accordance with these.
  • Ensure that all telephone calls made and received and all emails and faxes sent and received are annotated on the relevant system.
  • Carry out any other tasks as agreed with your Supervisor or the Head of Operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous insurance/assistance experience or similar is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, delivered in a clear and professional manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • A high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a close-knit team.
  • Previous customer service experience in a similar role would be beneficial, but a positive, professional attitude and a desire to develop your skills are more important.
  • Fluent in English and an additional language is not essential.
  • Previous administration experience is preferred.
  • Must be flexible to start later and finish later in the day.
