Job Summary

This position reports to the Regional Ground Network Services Manager, Ground Network Operations Manager, Ground Network Supervisors, and Lead Agents. The Ground Network Services (GNS) agents support the execution of the GNS by managing daily truck operations and managing the smooth flow of GNS shipments through the network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow, adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system, maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Optimize route planning and truck utilization, minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to arrange shipments, meeting customer service standards and expectations.
  • Contribute to and maintain a good relationship with suppliers, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.
  • Meet compliance requirements at all times, adhering to government regulations and internal policies.
  • Understand department process flow and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are in place and followed, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI) standards, as outlined in the Company's procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and timely, escalating issues to Management when necessary.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English, with ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
