Purchase Ledger Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team at Dawsongroup plc. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Purchase Ledger department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and input purchase ledger invoices, credit notes, and debit notes into our financial system.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and process payment runs as required, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Approve payments on authorized invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.
  • Set up and amend accounts on the Purchase Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and sending emails.
  • Collaborate with the Purchase Ledger and Accounts Team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and customers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, with a strong understanding of financial software and systems.
  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role is highly desirable.
