Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at Reed Accountancy. As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Posting and Coding of High Volume Purchase Orders: You will be responsible for accurately posting and coding high volume purchase orders, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Matching, Nominal Coding and Posting of High Volume Purchase Ledger Invoices: You will be responsible for matching, nominal coding, and posting high volume purchase ledger invoices, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Confidently Raising Queries with Relevant Team/People: You will be responsible for confidently raising queries with relevant team members or external parties to ensure that any issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring Purchase Ledger Processing is Kept Up to Date: You will be responsible for ensuring that the purchase ledger processing is kept up to date, working towards a working day 5-month end closure.
- Managing Payment Dates for Supplier Invoices: You will be responsible for managing payment dates for supplier invoices, ensuring that clients have the most up-to-date information for their payment runs and cash flow.
- Regular Communication with Clients: You will be responsible for regular communication with clients to keep them up to date with any supplier or invoice-based issues.
- Managing CIS Processing and Submissions: You will be responsible for managing CIS processing and submissions for subcontractor invoices.
- Constant Improvement and Development of Existing Workflows: You will be responsible for constantly improving and developing existing workflows to ensure that they are efficient and effective.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with Sage 50: You must have proficiency with Sage 50, as this is an essential requirement for the role.
- Knowledge of Xero: Knowledge of Xero is beneficial, but not essential.
- Experience Working in a Busy Purchase Ledger Environment: You must have experience working in a busy purchase ledger environment, with a proven track record of managing high volume transactions.
- Experienced Completing the Full Purchase Ledger Process Confidently and Independently: You must be experienced in completing the full purchase ledger process confidently and independently, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Motivated and Hardworking Individual: You must be a motivated and hardworking individual, with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
