We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at Reed Accountancy. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Key Responsibilities- Posting and coding of high-volume purchase orders
- Matching, nominal coding, and posting of high-volume purchase ledger invoices
- Raising queries with relevant team members to ensure efficient issue resolution
- Ensuring the purchase ledger processing is up-to-date, with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as required, working towards a 5-month end closure
- Managing payment dates for supplier invoices to ensure clients have the most up-to-date information for their payment runs and cash flow
- Regular communication with clients to keep them informed of any supplier or invoice-based issues
- Managing CIS processing and submissions for subcontractor invoices
- Constant improvement and development of existing workflows
- Proficiency with Sage 50 - essential
- Knowledge of Xero - beneficial
- Experience working in a busy purchase ledger environment
- Ability to complete the full purchase ledger process confidently and independently
