Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Coordinator to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As an EHS Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing full-time environmental health and safety support to the business and ensuring that all practices are in compliance with the Company and UK regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide Daily Guidance and Direction: Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee/supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.
  2. Identify and Manage Risks: Assist in the identification of environmental aspects and safety hazards, risk assessments, and developing and implementing effective control measures to manage the risks.
  3. Facilitate Risk Assessments: Facilitate all forms of risk assessment, e.g., general, manual handling, COSHH, fire prevention, and act as a final authority where a specialist response is required.
  4. Maintain SOPs: Maintain and update as needed SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training.
  5. Facilitate Training: Facilitate training on Environmental, Health and Safety topics and improvement processes, by conducting employee orientations, emergency response training, and coordination of risk-specific training programs.
  6. Provide Advice and Assistance: Provide advice, assist, and audit the operations to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working.
  7. Develop EHS Communication Strategy: Develop an EHS Communication Strategy for all levels of staff, to include written information, tool box talks, and management briefs.
  8. Coordinate Inspections: Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected.
  9. Maintain Records and Documentation: Maintain all records and documentation associated with the EHS Management System and regulatory requirements.
  10. Assist with Business Continuity and Emergency Response Plans: Assist with maintaining the Business Continuity and Emergency Response Plans & Procedures.
  11. Review Accidents and Incidents: Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and manage internal audits, reporting, and managing the corrective/preventive actions.
  12. Conduct Occupational Health and Safety Surveys: Conduct occupational health and safety related surveys.
