Educational and Professional Background

A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that enables the effective execution of the job's core responsibilities. Experience in ground support and/or tooling/equipment maintenance is essential, with supervisory or leadership experience being a plus.

Role Objective: This position supervises and coordinates all activities and personnel involved in the maintenance of ground support equipment and/or tooling/equipment operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective achievement of business goals and quality standards. The supervisor is responsible for all maintenance activities related to aircraft production equipment, ensuring quality, adherence to schedules, and cost management while achieving customer satisfaction and compliance with regulatory requirements.Primary Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  1. Collaborate with department management to set and define goals and objectives for the team.
  2. Maintain an efficient and productive team environment through effective leadership; assess and enhance the performance of team members, providing necessary guidance and training.
  3. Establish performance standards and schedules for departmental tasks; ensure adherence to these standards through regular follow-up.
  4. Report key performance indicators to management regarding maintenance activities on all equipment as necessary.
  5. Oversee the reliability of maintenance operations for all machinery.
  6. Evaluate proposals, suggestions, and project requirements, assessing their feasibility and economic value.
  7. Implement a predictive maintenance program for all assigned machinery.
  8. Facilitate collaborative efforts with other departments on issues related to quality variances, challenges, and schedule discrepancies.
  9. Enforce corporate and departmental policies and procedures to meet overall quality and performance objectives.
  10. Coordinate and schedule training for personnel involved in ground support equipment and/or tooling/equipment to ensure proper development.
  11. Review departmental labor hours on a weekly basis.
  12. Prepare project scopes, resource requirements, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, quality controls, and risk assessments.
  13. Monitor project progress against established goals, objectives, budgets, and timelines, reporting on status and variances.
  14. Assist in the preparation and execution of contracts, supervising vendor and contractor services as needed.
  15. Ensure compliance with standard operating and safety procedures during equipment operation and maintenance activities.
  16. Uphold stringent housekeeping, 5S standards, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, and safety practices.
  17. Ensure completion of all required Safety Management System action items.

Additional Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of advanced equipment maintenance operations in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  2. Proficiency in PC usage and recordkeeping is required.
  3. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex processes, procedures, and policies.
