As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities and personnel related to ground support equipment and tooling/equipment operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate all activities and personnel related to ground support equipment and tooling/equipment operations.
- Establish and maintain efficient and productive organization utilizing leadership skills.
- Review and evaluate the performance of departmental personnel and provide guidance and training as required.
- Establish schedules and standards of performance for departmental assignments and maintain follow-up to ensure that schedules and standards are achieved.
- Report key performance metrics to management for maintenance on all equipment as required.
- Supervise the reliability of maintenance for all machines.
- Evaluate improvements, suggestions, proposals, and project requirements and determine their feasibility and economic worth.
- Implement established predictive maintenance program for all machines assigned to this responsibility.
- Maintain integrative activities with other departments on all pertinent matters including quality variances, problems, and schedule deviations.
- Administer corporate/department policies and procedures to ensure achievement of overall quality and performance goals.
- Coordinate and schedule all training for ground support equipment and/or tooling/equipment personnel to ensure appropriate development.
- Review all departmental labor time on a weekly basis.
- Prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, project schedule & milestones, quality control and risk identification.
- Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Report status and variances.
- Assist in preparation and execution of contracts and supervise vendor/contractor services as required.
- Ensure all standard operating and safety procedures are followed when operating equipment and performing maintenance.
- Ensure that stringent housekeeping, 5S standards, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, and safety procedures and practices are followed.
- Ensure that the required Safety Management System action items are followed through to completion.
- Knowledge of maintenance operations of advanced equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- PC literacy and recordkeeping skills required.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex processes, procedures, and policies.
