Our Contracts Services, Procurement team provides independent procurement and contractual guidance throughout the entire project lifecycle, drawing from our experience with some of the largest and most intricate projects in the real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors.

We have recently launched a new Sustainable Procurement service, which is expanding in response to the growing demand for expertise in evolving procurement and supply chain practices to achieve more sustainable outcomes.

Position Overview

In this role, you will report to an established Renewable Energy Procurement lead, assisting our clients in executing significant capital programs and projects focused on green technologies, thereby providing more sustainable energy solutions for customers and the broader community. We are seeking individuals passionate about renewable energy and major capital programs to join our expanding Procurement team within Contract Services across our UK offices, as we address the increasing demand for our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement engagements across various programs, projects, and commissions, guiding clients toward improved green and sustainable outcomes across multiple renewable energy asset types.
  • Enhance client performance and achieve targets across critical capital procurement themes.
  • Drive the development of renewable energy procurement services offered by Turner & Townsend.
  • Lead business development efforts for renewable energy procurement and oversee the marketing needs of the broader Contract Services capability.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and direction in achieving both team and broader business objectives, encompassing Business Generation, Service Excellence, and Operational and People-based growth targets.
  • Act as a business leader, mentor, and talent developer, exemplifying Turner & Townsend's leadership behaviors.
We seek individuals with expertise in integrating excellence into end-to-end procurement activities, alongside core skills and experience in procurement, supply chain management, and/or contract management. This includes a blend of the following:
  • Strategic procurement planning and execution for major capital programs and projects throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Contract management.
  • Supply chain intelligence.
  • Supplier evaluation strategies.
  • Supply chain management.
  • Contract terms, negotiation, and award.
Experience in one or more of the following technologies is desirable but not mandatory:
  • Hydro-Electric

Qualifications

To deliver value for our clients, we are looking for a combination of the following:
  • A degree related to Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management, or similar fields is preferred.
  • Achievement of, or willingness to work towards, at least a Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
  • Security Clearance (SC) - currently valid or potentially reinstated, is not essential.
Experience
  • Broad procurement consulting experience gained from either client, contractor, or professional services organizations.
  • Experience in key responsible sourcing areas, including human rights, environmental considerations, health and safety, anti-bribery and corruption, and labor practices.
  • A solid understanding of the UK and international energy sectors, related technologies, and regulatory environments is desirable.
  • Experience in successful supplier engagement.
