Job Title: Facade Designer

Elk Recruitment is seeking a skilled Facade Designer to join our client's team in Hampshire. As a key member of the Technical team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings and design solutions for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and propose design solutions for Architect's drawings.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to provide design solutions at the enquiry stage.
  • Prepare fabrication drawings and cutting lists.
  • Work closely with the Contracts Manager to agree on design and procurement programmes.
  • Visit sites as required to assist with contract and site management.
  • Stay up-to-date with product and system developments.
  • Ensure economical design and standardisation of details to achieve best use of resources.
  • Prepare approval drawings and achieve approved status.
  • Prepare material schedules and send out purchase requisitions.
  • Liaise with consultants and prepare Design Safety Risk Assessments.
  • Prepare installation drawings and instructions.
  • Resolve technical difficulties and cooperate with valuation preparation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Facade Design.
  • Must have experience with Rainscreen systems.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Technical competence and planning/scheduling skills.
  • Ability to monitor and supervise junior staff.
