Job Title: HOPE Recovery Navigator

About the Role: Humankind is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Navigator to join our team in Barnsley. As a Recovery Navigator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Your primary responsibility will be to provide effective and immediate responses to minimize harm and reduce relapse, while encouraging individuals to engage with a recovery plan covering all aspects of their life.

Main Duties:
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to support individuals in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Work closely with local communities and stakeholders to develop and implement targeted outreach and prevention programs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other service providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of local substance abuse trends and best practices.
  • Provide education and support to individuals and their families on substance abuse and addiction.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of substance abuse and addiction, including current research and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership-building.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Validated police clearance required.
