Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions to learners, helping them to develop their maths and English skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths within a classroom environment.
- Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
- Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
- Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
- Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
- Must have experience of delivering Functional Skills and/or GCSE Maths and English.
- Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners.
- Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 Teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET or equivalent).
- Hold a Maths and/or English level 2 / equivalent.
- Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
- Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
