We are seeking an experienced Education Support Specialist to join our team at The Shires - Oakham. As a key member of our staff, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our pupils with Autism and associated diagnosis to achieve their Education Health Care Plan outcomes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English and have experience of supporting autistic teenagers who have struggled throughout their school journey to achieve their academic and life goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism and associated diagnosis to achieve their Education Health Care Plan outcomes
  • Work with our pupils to develop life skills and achieve accreditations in Maths, English and Science
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver a specialist curriculum for pupils who have struggled to cope in a mainstream or larger SEN educational setting
