About the Role

The Education Support Worker will provide support to the teacher and students in a special educational setting. This will involve working with individual and small groups of students on educational and EHCP activities, assisting teachers in setting short-term targets, and helping students achieve their long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide support to the teacher and students in the classroom and beyond.
  2. Work with students on educational and EHCP activities, developing their skills and knowledge.
  3. Assist teachers in setting short-term targets and tracking student progress.
  4. Help students achieve their long-term goals, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to succeed.

About the School

Oakham Shires School is an independent special school for 11-18 year olds who are Autistic and have associated diagnoses and special education needs. The school delivers a primary curriculum to secondary aged pupils who have struggled to cope in a mainstream or larger SEN educational setting.
