Job Title: Personal Assistant Support Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Assistant Support Officer to join our team at Brook Street NMR. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to an individual with a neurodivergent condition and visual impairment in a professional Learning and Development (L&D) role.

Key Responsibilities:

The Personal Assistant Support Officer will be responsible for:

  • Guiding the individual while navigating unfamiliar environments
  • Assisting the individual in dynamic social environments, such as meetings, conferences, and other events
  • Attending face-to-face and virtual meetings as appropriate

Task Management Support:

The Personal Assistant Support Officer will provide administrative support to help the individual prioritize their tasks, manage their time, and meet deadlines within their L&D role. This will include:

  • Scheduling and booking rooms for meetings and events
  • General management of calendars, schedules, and action logs
  • Providing admin support to help the individual prioritize their tasks and manage their time

Technical Support:

The Personal Assistant Support Officer will provide technical support to the individual, including:

  • Aiding the editing of audiovisual media
  • Converting inaccessible documentation into accessible formats
  • Supporting and directing a screen reader user in the interpretation and use of inaccessible media, software, and digital platforms

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the Personal Assistant Support Officer will need to have:

  • Competent use of Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills, with good data entry skills
  • Well-developed prioritization, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, understanding commitment to equality of opportunity
