About the Role

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in supporting the National Sales Manager with all service sales, opportunities, and issues. This will involve working closely with the Service Management Team and Regional Service Managers to achieve and surpass sales targets, develop the FM sector, and ensure accurate quotations and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Achieve and surpass sales targets for new and expansion business, develop the FM sector, and ensure accurate quotations and revenue generation.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with clients to identify opportunities for future works and ensure contract management contact lists are followed up.
  • Commercial Operations: Ensure accurate quotations, revenue generation, and profitable margins through the development of Turnkey chiller installation works.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the Service Managers, Service Sales Management team, and Regional Service Managers to communicate and introduce new relationships and opportunities.
  • Market Intelligence: Participate in brainstorming sessions to highlight opportunities and risks, and promote positive communication and collaboration with other departments and business units.
  • Administrative Tasks: Prepare agendas for meetings, take accurate minutes, and list appropriate actions and outcomes.
  • Professional Representation: Represent Mitsubishi Electric in a professional manner and preserve market reputation and integrity.
  • System Development: Assist the Service Management Team in identifying areas where system development work may be required and with any subsequent implementation.
  • Project Management: Share project information with other relevant departments to maximize opportunities and update quotation status on a regular basis.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Maintain mileage reports to company standard, submit expenses on a monthly basis, and comply with all Mitsubishi Electric policies and procedures.
Requirements

The Business Development Manager role requires strong construction industry experience and knowledge, along with a high degree of curiosity and organizational skill in managing day-to-day activity. Strong commercial experience and a proven industry track record with a strong desire to learn, achieve, and excel are essential. The role will require a high-level knowledge of our equipment portfolio and the services offered, together with an insight into the competitive marketplace.
