Role Overview:

As an integral part of the hydrogen division, you will engage in tailored advisory services while also contributing to the Hydrogen Intelligence Service (HIS) research team. Your hydrogen expertise will be pivotal in ensuring our outputs deliver exceptional insights to our clientele. Additionally, you will be instrumental in driving business development initiatives within the hydrogen sector. Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

Advisory Services

  • Conducting hydrogen modeling and analysis that forms the foundation of our projects for clients, alongside producing comprehensive reports and presentations. Projects may involve evaluating and forecasting growth in various hydrogen markets, analyzing the performance of hydrogen assets, and determining future hydrogen infrastructure needs under varying scenarios.
  • Assisting in the creation and refinement of innovative hydrogen models and tools to facilitate the energy transition (e.g., forecasting hydrogen prices).
  • Overseeing consulting projects, leading teams to successful delivery, and collaborating closely with clients.
  • Engaging with clients and supporting business development efforts through thought leadership, participation in significant conferences, and aiding in proposal and bid development.

Research Support

Providing expert assistance to the research team to enhance and refine its outputs, ensuring they are at the forefront of the hydrogen market across the entire value chain. Support activities will include:

  • Offering insights into global hydrogen market trends and policy changes to help the team deliver commercial intelligence for subscribers and broaden relevance to a wider audience.
  • Providing specialized knowledge and expert contributions for subscriber reports on hydrogen industry trends, business models, and projects.
  • Participating in research discussions with industry stakeholders to explore specific topics.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout the hydrogen value chain, and sharing valuable feedback with the research team.
  • Reviewing and shaping reports and deliverables.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the development of broader thought leadership reports and content.
  • Establishing an industry network and cultivating relationships with key figures in the sector.
  • Enhancing our marketing and external engagement efforts to elevate the profile of our hydrogen initiatives.
  • Facilitating the sales of our hydrogen research through networking and external engagement.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the energy sector, particularly in consulting roles within established energy or renewables firms.
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze data, developing and executing models to produce high-quality results.
  • Strong understanding of the European hydrogen landscape and the broader energy sector, along with knowledge of UK and European policies supporting the transition to Net Zero, and awareness of global energy trends.
  • Demonstrated capability to build and maintain a robust professional network and foster new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize a diverse workload with multiple deadlines.
