Job Title: Senior Product Governance Consultant

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Working style: Flexible 50% home/office based

We are seeking a highly skilled product specialist to join our Product Governance team, operating across Royal London's UK life and pensions product book.

The role of the Product Governance team is to ensure great customer outcomes across Royal London's open and closed product books by conducting a range of review and monitoring activities, as well as acting as the 'customer advocate' in various business contexts.

The Senior Product Governance Consultant will deliver high-quality product reviews, insightful 'deep dive'/thematic analysis, and support a range of other monitoring activities and executive reporting. They will also have the opportunity to deploy their knowledge and experience to support project delivery and rectification activity.

With the industry adjusting to the exciting new world of Consumer Duty, this is an excellent time to join an expanding Product Governance function at one of the UK's leading life and pensions providers.

  • The role involves preparing governance reports, maintaining the conduct risk dashboard, leading deep dives, monitoring and collaborating on findings/actions.
  • The ideal candidate will become an authoritative source of product and conduct risk expertise, helping stakeholders see the complete picture to inform business decisions.

About You

  • Good knowledge of pensions, protection, and investment products, with direct product experience in at least one of these.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the general principles of investment markets, the wider financial services industry, and the legislative and regulatory framework.
  • Strong attention to detail, support for a strong culture of continuous improvement, team working, and professionalism.
