Fleming Farms Senior Living is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Consultant or Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Whole Life-Cycle and Circular Economy initiatives, focusing on the holistic environmental impact of materials.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of consultancy projects, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
- Appraise building fabric and materials, providing expert analysis and recommendations.
- Develop and write technical summary reports and detailed technical reports, effectively communicating complex information to clients.
- Provide exceptional client consulting, determining expectations, and achieving deliverables through effective communication and project management.
- Liaise with clients, project partners, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and project success.
- Analyze large datasets, condensing complex information into robust and digestible outputs that inform business decisions.
- Support both junior-level consultants and senior colleagues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Develop strategies and carbon reduction pathways, driving sustainability initiatives and reducing environmental impact.
- Conduct internal quality assurance, ensuring the highest standards of work and adherence to company policies.
- Present results to clients, effectively communicating the value and impact of our sustainability initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building materials and embodied carbon, as well as a comprehensive understanding of environmental impact quantification, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Whole Life-Cycle Carbon Assessment methodology, and environmental science.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in using your initiative to overcome challenges and drive project success.
