Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Building Energy Management Systems Cost Analyst to join our innovative team. This role is essential for producing precise project cost estimates, ensuring that our bids are both competitive and profitable, and aiding in the successful implementation of our BEMS solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for control and automation projects across various sectors, including laboratories, technology centers, and commercial properties.
  • Examine project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation to grasp the scope of work and pinpoint critical requirements.
  • Conduct occasional site assessments prior to cost estimation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, and project management teams to gather essential information for accurate estimations.
  • Leverage your expertise in Trend systems to ensure all pertinent components and functionalities are included in the estimates.
  • Assess supplier quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Maintain and update the company’s historical cost database to enhance future estimation accuracy.
  • Participate in bid review meetings, offering insights to optimize project profitability.
  • Assist in the creation of proposals and tender documents, ensuring clarity in all financial aspects.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to refine estimation practices.
  • Support project managers during the transition process by providing detailed documentation of estimated costs.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in estimating within the control and automation systems sector.
  • Proficiency with Trend systems and a solid understanding of their application in automation projects.
  • Strong background in commissioning and engineering processes related to automation systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications related to estimating, project management, or automation systems.
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software.
