Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-level Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) engineering solutions on various national and international Oil & Gas projects utilizing ABB products and systems. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing timely and budget-conscious technical solutions for clients.
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Lead Engineer, and Project Engineering Manager to identify essential resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Taking full ownership of assigned scopes and ensuring quality control of your work, including budget, schedule, plans, and deliverables.
  • Training and mentoring new team members on ABB project procedures and standards to ensure consistency across the project.
  • Engaging with clients to accurately interpret their needs and requirements.
  • Reviewing engineering deliverables in accordance with established processes and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitoring compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Coordinating relevant technical queries and solutions with ABB product development centers.
  • Assisting with technical sales presentations and bid clarifications for prospective projects.
  • Producing engineering estimates based on client specifications for bids involving integrated control and safety systems.

Qualifications for the Role
  • Typically degree qualified and progressing towards Chartered Engineer status with up to 5 years of experience in a similar role/function, or HNC/HND qualified with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all relevant ICSS industry performance standards and specifications.
  • Extensive experience in the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of ICSS applications, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Ability to manage projects across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong decision-making and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient understanding of Networks, IT/OT Systems, and Cyber Security requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with ICSS systems such as DCS/PCS, ESD, and F&G.
  • Experience executing ABB INFI and S+ solutions on projects.
