Yard Operations Supervisor
We are looking for a Yard Operations Supervisor to lead and coordinate site activities, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization of the yard, vehicle flow, and overall site cleanliness.
- Ensure that the loading and unloading of transport vehicles and the relocation of cars are performed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Guarantee that all team members complete their assignments to the required standards within designated timeframes.
- Provide outstanding customer service and support to clients and suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns effectively.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure and efficient working environment.
- Manage site security, maintenance, and alarm systems.
- Offer guidance to staff and collaborate with other departments.
- Supervise daily employee activities, including managing absences, training new hires, resolving employee concerns, and ensuring all personnel have the necessary safety equipment and functional tools.
- Respond to site emergencies as needed, resolving issues promptly.
- Order fuel and oil as necessary and approve supply requests.
- Support ongoing recruitment and development of yard personnel and new hires.
- Collaborate with environmental agencies to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Identify training requirements and arrange relevant courses, including Forklift training as needed.
- Responsible for managing all financial transactions at the site.
- Complete reports for incidents and accidents.
- Ensure availability of personal protective equipment.
- Conduct weekly site inspections and maintain a site diary.
- Assist the team in maintaining ISO27001 certification.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to lead a team and enhance performance.
- Valid Driving License.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Forklift truck license for rough terrain.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Qualifications in Mechanical, Metal Recycling, or vehicle maintenance are advantageous.
