About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Cancer Centre Multi-Disciplinary Service (MDT) team as a Cancer MDT Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the MDT team, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care and efficient communication with healthcare professionals.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with NHS standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective administrative processes to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve any blockages or concerns in patient pathways, recommending solutions and changes to current processes.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Person Specification

  • Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GSCE pass level or equivalent standard.
  • Administrative and organisational experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
