Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Dove Adolescent Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily domestic duties to maintain a homely environment
  • Plan and participate in activities to encourage individual interests and attitudes
  • Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of each young person in accordance with Working Together to Safeguard Children
  • Assess individual needs and contribute to care and risk plans
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people
  • Manage behaviour positively and assertively
  • Consult with young people to promote healthy lifestyles
  • Motivate and assist young people in developing positive networks
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and review of care plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of supporting vulnerable young people
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and maintain accurate records
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Empathetic nature and good communication skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people
