About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Dove Adolescent Services. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people to develop emotional resilience and achieve their full potential.

Main Responsibilities

  • Complete key domestic duties to maintain a homely environment
  • Encourage individual interests and attitudes through planning and participating in activities
  • Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of each young person in accordance with safeguarding policies
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people
  • Manage behavior positively and assertively
  • Consult with young people to promote healthy lifestyles
  • Motivate and assist young people in developing positive networks
  • Participate in care planning and review processes

Requirements

  • Understanding and commitment to the role, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Experience supporting vulnerable young people
  • Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Empathetic nature and good communication skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate young people
