Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Dove Adolescent Services Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing a safe and supportive environment for young people in our care
  • Encouraging the development of individual interests and attitudes through planned activities
  • Assessing individual needs and contributing to care and risk plans
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with young people
  • Managing behaviour positively and assertively
  • Consulting with young people to promote healthy lifestyles
  • Motivating and assisting young people in developing positive networks with adults and peer groups
  • Participating in the development, implementation, and review of packages of care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable
  • Ability to work on your own initiative to a high level of accuracy
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Empathetic nature and good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people
