Job Title: Audio Quality & Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Audio Quality & Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Matchtech Technology. This is a permanent role that offers a unique opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in quality control of incoming and outgoing materials and products by verifying specifications.
  2. Develop skills in CAD / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering for loudspeaker design, manufacturing processes, and acoustic principles.
  3. Improve listening skills through detailed customer-focused inspections, audits, and final sign-off for outgoing products.
  4. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into a quality database.
  5. Ensure that audio testing is carried out in production correctly.
  6. Maintain measurement & audio test equipment by following operating instructions, maintaining calibration records.
  7. Review and update QC procedures and returns policies.
  8. Support the Quality Manager to resolve production and supplier-related quality issues.
  9. Continuously improve quality standards by offering suggestions where appropriate.
  10. Produce inspection audit reports to identify quality problems within the manufacturing process.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in audio and music technology.
  2. Knowledge of electronics and audio testing principles (audio circuits and components).
  3. Desirable experience with audio analysers.
  4. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and electronic schematics.
  5. Experience with inspection measurement tools such as calipers and gauges.
  6. Good computer skills - Microsoft Windows 10, Excel, Word, MRP (SAP B1) knowledge and experience.
  7. Driving licence / transport - travel between production sites in Luton and Sandy will be required.
Desirable:
  1. Experience or knowledge of BSEN ISO 9001:2005 Quality Management Systems.
Benefits:
  1. 23 days holiday per annum, increasing by one day per year up to a maximum of 25 (in addition to public and bank holidays).
