Job Summary:

Morgan Hunt is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technical Manager to support a public sector client on a temporary basis. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality technical solutions.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expert technical guidance and support on mechanical engineering projects, ensuring the implementation of industry best practices and standards.
  • Project Planning: Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure the successful completion of mechanical engineering projects.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet required specifications and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and efficient solutions, and conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes, and proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with experience using project management software.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical issues or discrepancies promptly.
