About the Role:

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking a skilled Technical Author to join our team. As a Technical Author, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality technical documentation for our clients in the space sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical user manuals, data sheets, and reports that are clear, concise, and easy to understand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that documentation meets the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Interpret complex technical information and re-write it to make it accessible to a wide range of audiences.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure that documentation is delivered on time.
  • Oversee the development of system engineering documents and ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Mentor junior staff members to improve their documentation skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field (Aerospace, Mechanical, etc.).
  • Experience in technical writing for an engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of system engineering document processes and basic engineering documentation standards.
  • Ability to perform gap analyses on existing project documentation and develop new systems.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
