D7 Recruitment is partnering with a leading UK manufacturer of upholstered furniture and home furnishings to recruit an experienced Health and Safety Manager. Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and company standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits, ensuring that any corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Manage and mentor the health and safety teams across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Lead initiatives to improve manual handling processes and manage risks related to hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS).
- Oversee the Health and Safety Committee, driving employee engagement and continuous safety improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve sustainability goals, particularly in waste reduction and resource management.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar HSE management role, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of UK HSE legislation, with specific experience in manual handling and HAVS management.
- Proven ability to build and implement HSE systems and drive cultural change in a workplace.
