We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and managing medium-sized programs or multiple smaller programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets in an Integrated Program Team working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Quality, Aftermarket, and Business Development.
- Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the programs to ensure profitability targets are met and manage multiple sub-tier suppliers.
- Develop milestones, program plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure that the organization's objectives are met.
- Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the programs.
- Monitor strategic planning efforts and proactively drive programs.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Identify and react to program problems and recommend solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, or coordinating responses to customer action items.
- Support the development of new business opportunities.
- Act as internal and external customer focal.
- Support the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specification, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect interests.
- Manage program scope increase or decrease via change management processes.
- Be a change agent to drive continuous improvements in a highly challenging environment.
Requirements:
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite and JDE/SAP).
- Educated to Degree level in a Technical Discipline.
- Formal PM training or accreditation such as PMP or APM is highly desirable.
- Commercial knowledge/awareness and a strong focus on the delivery of objectives.
- Good program planning skills (Microsoft Project or Primavera).
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
- Proven strong program management skills and experience in leading programs.
- Proven people leadership in a matrix organization.
- External and internal customer exposure experience.
- Knowledge of NPI product lifecycle – JDP, PDR, CDR, and FAI.
