Join our Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, where we focus on maintaining and enhancing technologies within the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.


ROLE PURPOSE:

We seek enthusiastic, customer-oriented individuals to join us as Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technicians. This role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, timely preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement to ensure optimal equipment availability.


SHIFT PATTERN:

This position may require working non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exemplify health and safety best practices and ensure compliance among team members.
  • Engage in hands-on work, demonstrating expert knowledge of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within the facility.
  • Guide and mentor fellow technicians during shifts.
  • Ensure high equipment availability through effective troubleshooting and prioritization.
  • Support the standardization of continuous improvement initiatives across the EU network.
  • Foster strong working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Understand and apply Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and performance metrics.
  • Oversee contractor management.
  • Educate the operational team on proper equipment usage.
  • Provide on-site support and manage high-severity ticket escalations.
  • Coordinate with specialist subcontractors as necessary.
  • Handle engineering tasks classified as basic, standard, advanced, and expert (Levels 1-4), with responsibilities for Levels 1-3 for both reactive and planned tasks.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory using the EAM system.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance for the full range of MHE equipment on-site.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a full Engineering apprenticeship and/or a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical fields, with experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
  • Familiarity with Statutory Compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication skills in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and influence team members.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple projects and prioritize workloads effectively.
  • Experience in managing multiple contractors.
  • Background in a multi-site operational environment.
