JOIN OUR TEAM:
Become a part of the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, where we focus on maintaining and enhancing technologies within the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

ROLE PURPOSE:
We seek enthusiastic, customer-oriented individuals to join us as Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technicians.

The primary objective of this role is to uphold safety standards, conduct timely preventative maintenance, and ensure optimal equipment availability through ongoing improvements.


WORK SCHEDULE:
This position requires flexibility, including non-traditional shifts that may involve nights and weekends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exemplify health and safety best practices and monitor compliance among peers.
  • Engage in hands-on work, demonstrating expert knowledge of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Mentor and guide technicians during shifts.
  • Ensure high equipment availability through effective troubleshooting and prioritization.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the EU network.
  • Foster positive working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Understand and apply Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and performance metrics.
  • Manage contractor relationships effectively.
  • Educate operational teams on proper equipment usage.
  • Provide on-site support and manage high-severity issues.
  • Coordinate with specialist subcontractors as necessary.
  • Handle engineering tasks across various complexity levels (1-4), focusing on levels 1-3 for reactive and planned tasks.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory using the EAM system.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance for all MHE equipment on-site.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a full Engineering apprenticeship and/or a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical fields, with experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with CMMS for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
  • Familiarity with statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proficient communication skills in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng qualifications.
  • Proven ability to supervise and influence team members.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and workloads effectively.
  • Experience in managing multiple contractors.
  • Background in a multi-site operational environment.
